It's been a while

I fear that bloggers are all migrating to Facebook or one of those things for the young folks. That leaves me all on my own to face the world.

Anyway, Ian is watching some human pixels performing a huge real-time animation - it's very impressive. We've just brought the dogs for a walk so are relaxing after Leavy's energetic antics.

This week has been incredible. The rain and wind almost makes me want to stay at home for our holiday, but I'm still optimistic that the second half of July will be nice. At least we won't run aground with our boat as there is plenty of water around!

The upholsterer came and made nice work on our sitting area in the boat so I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow. b has photos and says it is very comfortable so at least we'll now have somewhere nice to sit in the evenings inside. Unfortunately our diesel cooker isn't working so there still isn't any decent method of cooking.

Ian has become a "clean house" junkie. He is going around cleaning things that haven't been touched in centuries, and each day I come home from work to find something looking good. Of course Leavy is doing her best to ensure she ruins his efforts indirectly, but doing things like pulling the stuffing out of sofa cushions, or chewing tables and chairs.

I'm hoping for some comedy on TV this evening, so am off to look for it.
